Women for Hire Looking for Marketing Interns

If you live in the New York metro area, Women For Hire has immediate openings for two paid marketing interns in our Upper West Side Manhattan office – with the definite possibility of a fulltime position after just three months. (That’s what our marketing analyst, a 2009 University of Michigan grad, did.) This is a fun, hands-on internship for someone who seeks a challenging and rewarding entry-level marketing position. You’ll work with colleges and professional associations to promote our signature career expos; secure dynamic speakers and partners for all of our events; write, format and schedule email blasts; answer reader emails and update content on WomenForHire.com. Social media savvy is a must since it plays heavily in promoting our coast-to-coast slate of Spark & Hustle retreats for women entrepreneurs in 2011. (Pack your bag!). Comfort and familiarity with Office Suite, Photoshop and Dreamweaver is important. We’ll fill these spots immediately. Volunteers are needed on Sunday, November 7, 2010 to cheer for the American Cancer Society’s DetermiNation Runners at the ING New York City Marathon. Bring family and friends and cheer together to help support our DeterminNation Runners that are making their miles more meaningful by raising money to help save lives through the American Cancer Society’s endurance program.

All volunteers will receive t-shirts, water, a snack and cheer supplies. This is a great activity for all ages! If you are interested in volunteering please e-mail Alyssa Besho (alyssa.besho@gmail.com) and let me know which cheer station is most convenient for you. Also provide me with names of other volunteers you may bring.

All of our runners and volunteers will gather and celebrate our team after the race at Jakes Dilemma, located at 430 Amsterdam Avenue (between 80th and 81st) in NYC! Due to your support, our runners will have raised over $450,000 that will go towards the fight against cancer.

Volunteers are need on January 25^th from 10:30 pm – 4:00am to canvass parks, subways and other public spaces to count the number of people living unsheltered in the city
